Here is a video of her watching Wheel of Fortune... one of her very favorite shows.
And this video may be confusing for anyone who has not had the pleasure of nursing a baby. Taryn obviously watches Mommy very closely when she does everything... in this video when Mommy got everything ready to pump milk for Jake Taryn stepped in and thought she might be able to help out!
This weekend Uncle Tom and EJ came to visit and meet Jake. On Saturday they went to Bear Mountain Park where there was a zoo, fun paths to hike, and even an Oktoberfest going on. It is a beautiful park.
Taryn liked the little zoo. And this was Jake's first trip to a zoo... he wasn't that impressed.
He just wanted to sleep... he has a little cold.
And what fun would a weekend be without candy... yummy licoriceTaryn felt bad that Jake was so sleepy from the cold she gave him and didn't entertain our guests so she decided to poop on the potty for the first time... we posted the reenactment picture not a real poop picture for you :)

Taryn likes to hold Jake now. We think he is ok with it so Mommy and Daddy let her hold him.
She also tries to play with him... sometimes it works out and other times she gets upset when he can't do certain things she wants him to. She likes to make him food in her kitchen and feed it to him.
This week we all took a lot of time to get to know Jake. It was nice to be home as a family. Luckily we still have a few more days before Daddy has to go back to work.

He spends a lot more time awake checking us out too.

for sure he is going to fall asleep! We got this cookie bouquet delivered to us from our neighbors Danny, Jen and their cat Jiffy.As you can see Taryn enjoyed it the most! And Thursday when Taryn got home from school she was very excited to give Jake the gift her teachers had gotten him. "Hi Dad!" "No more pictures please!" Taryn also did some reading this week...As you can see in these videos she gets a little embarrassed when someone notices she is "reading" and stops.
All this excitement made us all tired! Even Daddy... who I have to say has been doing more than anyone this week! I know Mommy has been very greatful to have him home to help out! Rest up Daddy back to work on Tuesday!
Tuesday night Auntie Jen, Uncle Paul and Eric came over with some dinner for us! It was a great night... delicious food, fun play time, snuggles with Jake...

Taryn was having fun bonding with Auntie Jen... and then... out of the blue Auntie Jen decides to scare the S*$& out of Taryn while she was looking at the pictures she had taken. This was the way Taryn spent the rest of the night... all upset because Auntie Jen scared her :)Don't worry.... she got over it eventually :)
Yesterday was Taryn's first official day of nursery school. She was super excited to go... as was her hair :) It is getting so curly Mommy does not know what to do with it :)
She walked in with Mommy and Daddy and didn't cry once. She was very excited to get into her classroom and didn't look back once. She actually cried when we went to pick her up because she was having such a good time :) We are all so proud of her! What a big girl.

Yesterday was a busy day for the whole family. They had to be up very early for Jake's first doctor's appointment. This is the best picture Mommy took of him ready to go.
He was still very healthy and weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces.... what Taryn weighed when she was born.
Taryn liked going to the doctor's and not being the one to get checked!
After that Daddy took Taryn to Muscoot farm for some father-daughter quality time.
Apparently they were letting the donkey walk around . And of course she loved the cows.Then after naps Mommy took Taryn to Toys-R-Us and got her a new Buzz Lightyear toy. Toy Story is her new favorite movie and she has the Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye toys already at home. The rest of the day was spent with her toys and Jake.
