Jarrett's 6 Month Well Visit
Jarrett had his 6 month well visit to Dr. Stein today. He now weighs 17 lbs 1 1/2 ounces (40th percentile) is 27 inches tall (60th percentile) and his head was 16... hmmm cm or inches whichever they use to measure... which seems to be below average. He also got 3 shots today, MMR, TDAP and Flu. He loves to play with the paper on the table there now. :) The doctor was impressed that he can now clap and sits up so well. Overall he is very healthy!

Jarrett's Picture with Santa
The family went today to the mall so the kids could sit on Santa's lap. Mommy and Daddy were not surprised when they left with just a photo of Jarrett. Jake didn't want to get out of Daddy's arms and Taryn actually did better than Mommy thought... she actually spoke to Santa thanking him for her Elf (Buddy) and telling him she wants a make-up table for Christmas. The first picture is the professional one the others Mommy snapped.

Gingerbread Houses with the Cousins
Yesterday the family went up to Rachel and Dave's for some family funtime. Rachel of course had a great activity planned to keep the kids busy! This time it was gingerbread houses and each family made one. The kids all had a great time and were high on candy very quickly, especially Owen who was just licking the "glue"
We had also made a foam gingerbread house on Friday. Here are the finished products!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for here!
The kids have been preparing for this holiday at school and home for weeks now. They even had a feast at school where the 4's class were pilgrims and the 3's and 2's got to be the Native Americans.

Here is Taryn's class after the feast signing Native American songs with their feathers and rain-sticks.
They both made so many thanksgiving things. Jake made some napkin holders and a turkey poem and some other fall stuff. Taryn made a thankful feather for the class turkey, her feather hat, rain-stick and place mat.
Mommy surprised the kids by making them pumpkin muffin turkeys for Thanksgiving morning to eat while watching the Macy's Day Parade! After that they headed to Mama and Papa's for a great Thanksgiving feast of their own.

Happy Half-Birthday Jarrett!
That's right Jarrett turned 6 months old today!
We took his monthly picture in his chair and as you can see he is getting so big! He goes on Monday for his doctor's visit so we will see just how big then! Jarrett is quite the little baby boy! He still will not eat any kind of food or take a bottle or sippy cup. But last weekend Mommy and Daddy worked on weaning him from his nighttime chow downs so that he can hopefully give them a break and he started sleeping up in his crib. He finally slept through the night for the first time on Saturday 7:30- 7:00 the next morning! It was a big step!
Overall Jarrett is a happy baby, although by his lack of smiling you can't really tell :) He is very good at sitting now and likes to play with toys. He chews everything he can get his hands on and is the drooliest baby I have ever met. He thinks Taryn is the most hilarious person in the whole world and has just begun to be interested in me (Cooper). He is not a good napper, he likes to sleep on his belly (hmmm what else) He likes to jump.

Of course there was a half-birthday celebration at family night!
Happy half-birthday Jarrett!
A Quick Downs Fix
The Downs Family was in town for a few brief hours today so that Eric could visit his pediatrician up here... so we had to get in a quick visit. They met up at Panera in White Plains and the kids had a blast seeing each other again. Taryn and Eric got along well and Jarrett and Sara chilled in their high chairs for a bit too. It was great to see them even if it was only for an hour or so :)

Posing for Xmas Cards
Since Mommy had had such bad luck getting a picture in which all three kids look good for a Christmas card they decided to give it one more shot Yesterday afternoon. It didn't start out great but it got better and she found a usable one... did they get the dog in it? NO... I am even worse to photograph than the kids! But now it's done!
