New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve morning Mommy brought the kids to a playdate party with Jake's karate friends.

Then the family got the house all decorated for their annual New Year's Eve Party.

It was lots of fun and the last guests left at 11:15 so that the kids could all be home to go to bed right after the ball dropped. All three of our kids made it to midnight when the ball dropped this year. The first time for any of them! Jake was super excited, Jarrett tried to fall asleep at 11:45 but Mommy said, " No!!! You made it this far!"

2013 was a great year for our family. We are expecting even better things for 2014!

Christmas in Massachusetts

After 2 stops, lots of complaining and 2 movies... we finally made it to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Danny and Mary even beat us this year. When we arrived Josh was there visiting with his baby and Jarrett had JUST fallen asleep.

 But presents are a good wake up! As was McKenzie's new puppy Oscar. Jarrett was sooo obsessed with him he couldn't focus on presents.

 After dinner of course the real fun got started with card playing and some beverages late into the night. Uncle Danny even taught Jake a little about how to play pitch. It was the poker real late night that he missed out on though... but he was happy to go to bed with his new ipad mini. (the kids all got one from Grandma and Grandpa.)

 Jarrett like hanging out with Lucas and taryn stayed close to Mary and the puppy most of the night.

Christmas Morning!!!

 Christmas morning Jake was up first at 7 (even after going to bed around 10) and had to have everyone up right away. The kids found out very quickly that Santa had been good to everyone!!!

 Jarrett was excited about the tape gum he had in his stocking (his favorite) and put the whole thing in his mouth at once!

 Taryn had cried going to bed Christmas Eve because she was so nervous she wouldn't get Saige (the 2013American Girl Doll) She was excited once she finally opened that gift,.

 And the boys got cool a Rescue Bot fire station... along with a ton of other stuff!

 Once they were done opening their gifts from Santa they finished packing and then Uncle TJ came over with MORE gifts for them!
