Mommy took these pictures to share with Daddy of some of Taryn and Jake's art work already displayed in the hall at school.

Bouncing Babies- Part 2

Jarrett and his BFF Ben started their second semester of Bouncing Babies at the library. They are both much more excited this time around about the songs and playing with the toys! Jarrett was especially intrigued by this toy duck :)

Jarrett's 4 Month Update

Jarrett turned 4 months on Friday he had his height and weight check-up that day too. Here is his a little more about our little guy at 4 months now that there is a minute to type.
Jarrett as you can see in the photos has found his feet and loves to play with them. He also has been blowing bubbles and raspberries with his mouth lately. He uses his exersaucer and activity mat a lot and loves them. He can sit up a little bit with the support of the boppy around him so it won't be long. He is very ticklish and has a very cute laugh. He does not take a bottle, a pacifier or anything like that. He doesn't like to be away from Mommy and sleeps in about 2-2 1/2 hour increments still at night (if that). He naps for a few minutes here and there during the day. He likes to be held and doesn't mind riding in the car. That's about it for this guy right now! He sure is getting big fast though!

Jarrett Tries Rice Cereal!

Friday Dr. Stein told Mommy that Jarrett could start trying his "solid foods." So what better time to start than that day. He was pretty excited at first... but was not impressed at all once he actually tasted it! Later in the night Mommy looked back to the pictures of Taryn and Jake eating cereal for the first time... and Mommy was pleasantly surprised to see that both Jarrett and Jake wore the same bib for their first tastes!

Jake's 2 Year & Jarrett's 4 Month Check-Up

Today the boys had their doctor's visits. This picture was before their shots :)Here are their STATS...

Jake:
28 pounds~ 50th percentile
34 inches tall~ 40th percentile
He got his HEP A, Flu shot and had his lead test done... poor boy!
The doctor was very impressed with his sentences and overall language skills!

Jarrett:
15 pounds 4 ounces~ 60th percentile
25 1/2 inches tall~ 75th percentile
He got 2 shots and had to drink a vaccine so he had it tough too!

Both are very happy, healthy boys.

Tae Kwon Do

Today Taryn and Jake started Mommy and Me Tae Kwon Do. They both did great. It was very well run with lots of high energy activities that introduce the skills needed to learn Tae Kwon Do. And at the end they got to break a board... Jake didn't think it was a great idea so Taryn got to do it twice. She was very proud. And they got to keep their broken boards!

It was hard for Mommy to get pictures because they were moving non-stop, but here are a few of one of the obstacle courses (Taryn kicking the paddles) and both kids proud of their broken boards.

Roll Baby Roll!

Jarrett rolled back to belly for the first time today! He was so proud and then repeatedly rolled over and over after he figured it out.

Jake's Turtle Tots

Last Tuesday Jake started his "Turtle Tots" It is a half hour of gym time and a half hour swim lesson. He has lots of fun with both.

Mommy has to swim with him so there are no actual swimming pictures just him getting ready and getting out. But he does a great job with his swimming.

Jake Finally Started School!

Friday Jake started school... kind of :) He wasn't supposed to go on Fridays in September or October, but when we got to school on Friday the room was ready and Jake wanted to stay... so Mommy decided he could stay for 1 hour. There were no other kids there so he had the teachers all to himself. When Mommy got back an hour later he pretty much thought he owned the school. He had been walking around with Lori to all the classes and definitely got to know the school. He was very excited to show Mommy the helmets in his classroom!

Jake wanted another picture by the tree in the hallway. He asks for a picture there whenever they leave so we will get to see him grow over the course of this year I'm sure! And he got to bring home his very first school artwork that he did! Now we can hang it with all the rest of Taryn's. :)

Today he actually stayed at school for all 3 hours and again no tears or anything! Both kids were very excited that their playground time is together. They had lots of fun telling Mommy all about playing together at school.

First days of School

Monday was the first day of school for the kids... well it was supposed to be. Taryn was fine, Jake didn't actually get to start. His classroom is new and because he is in a 2 year old room they needed a fire door not just fire windows, so that was installed last Friday. The city came to inspect the room but the state has still not been in so they can not let them use the room.

Anyway Monday was Taryn's first day in the 3's. She went in no problem (It is her 3rd year there) and had a great day! We had Jake ready just in case.

Both kids at school!Today we got Jake all ready again because they said he could come in anyway and they would use an upstairs room for the day. So Mommy got him all psyched up and had his birthday treat ready so he could celebrate with his friends, but when they got there Jake was the only one from his class that was there (His class only had 7 kids anyway... so mommy decided it was not a good first day and took him back home with her. Since he is only doing Mondays and Wednesdays in the beginning we are hoping Monday will be the last "first day of school picture" he takes :)

And Jarrett is just along for the ride :)

Lets Go Giants

Jake's 2nd Birthday Party- New York

Saturday was Jake's actual birthday and we had his NY birthday party that afternoon. It had the same sports theme, lots of friends and family, nice weather, and good food.

Jake did great blowing out his candles and singing to himself again.

And this time he had a soccer ball pinata!

It was a blast!
