Cold Spring

Mommy and Adriana had been trying to take the kids (ours and Isabel and Nicole) up to a cool playground in Cold Spring, but every time they planned it it rained. Isabel and Nicole live in a condo right near the train station so Mommy brought the kids there and they walked down to the train. They took the train from Peekskill to Coldspring, which was a 12 minute ride and a perfect amount of time for the kids to be excited to ride and look at the great views (like Bear Mountain Bridge and West Point) but not too long either. They were all very excited and very cute! 

The playground was great! One whole side was sand with lots of cool toys and the other was regular playground stuff. After a few hours there and a picnic lunch Jarrett got a little tired and fell asleep in the swing. Eventually they decided to wrap up the playground time and walked into town to get some ice cream.

The kids loved the little coffee shop with homemade ice cream and the Olympic volleyball game was on between Brazil and USA which was fun because Adriana is from Brazil. Then they headed to the riverfront to hang out for a bit before getting back on the train to head home. The views are sooo amazing there.

And of course on the way home Taryn had to pee for the 6th time and got to use her first train potty :) It was a great day!

Daddy's Helper

 For Daddy's last real project before we move (we hope at least :) He had to fix part of the deck for the c/o. The boys were very helpful :)

Go USA!!!

 Friday the Olympics started and the kids were all dressed in their USA garb to celebrate! They love watching all the Olympic events... surprisingly even the boring ones :)

Happy Birthday Uncle Jim

 We celebrated Uncle Jim's birthday at family night Wednesday. Angela's new puppy Cash came to join in the fun and play with Uncle Jim too!

Playing with Max, Julia and Luke

 Taryn and Jake made some new friends at the library. Max is Jake's age and he has a little sister Julia and a new baby brother Luke. The kids have had lots of fun playing with them. After the library on Tuesday they convinced the Mommies to take them to Twist for lunch...mmmm ice cream for lunch! Then they went to their house today to swim in their pool and play with their cool toys.

Silly Monday

 Grandma and Grandpa were here Sunday and Monday. While Grandpa and Daddy were at work Monday We made some Fruit Loop necklaces and then they took the kids to the playground and Friendly's. Jarrett was very excited when Grandma insisted on getting him his own Fribble this time! And I enjoyed burying myself in their blankets when Taryn took them off the bed!

My 6th Birthday and Taryn's 1/2 Birthday!

 That's right Sunday was my 6th birthday and Taryn turned 4 1/2! It was a pretty good day. the kids and I played in the yard in the morning, then they went to an Ice Age party at Build-A-Bear where Taryn made Sid and Jake made Scrat. Taryn, Jake and Daddy rode the carousel at the mall and Jarrett and Mommy watched from the play area. Then they had a special half-birthday dinner for Taryn at Olive Garden. At night we all watched some Good Luck Charlie and listened to the thunder and lightning. It was a great day.
