Jake's Baseball vs Shrub Oak

 Thursday night Jake had a game under the lights. I never explained (I don't think) why Jake is playing summer travel for Cortlandt National Little League and not Shrub Oak. He wasn't old enough to play for Shrub Oak... it seems silly since they play against them. But the insurance for the Athletic Club wouldn't cover 6-year-olds to play in 8u summer travel. So, Kevin and Jake had to go try out for Cortlandt for the summer.  Jake has made some new friends and even though their team is not the best in the league at least he still gets to play. So anyway, tonight was the game he was looking forward to. He would get to play against all his friends and coaches from ShrubOak under the lights at Lakeland High School. Jake did great walking 2 times and getting hit by a pitch... and getting to score and steal a few bases. But he got the game ball for making a catch at second base with bases loaded and two outs! It was a good night for Jake even if his team did lose.

Spirit Week at School

Monday was favorite sports team day. Tuesday was twin day. Taryn and Peyton dressed alike and Jake, Kevin and Nick Dressed alike. Wednesday was be kind to someone day and Thursday was wear something you learned in a creative way day. Friday was field day. Jake was on the green team and Taryn the silver/ gray team.  (Mommy also took pictures of Taryn sleeping because Daddy likes to see them all while he is away.) The week also ended with Daddy falling asleep while watching the boys in the bathtub (he took a late night flight home  to make it for Jarrett's graduation).

First Day of Camp

 Camp started today and all 3 kids get to go together this year. It is just for the month of July from 8:30-12. Jarrett was super nervous to go, but he ended up LOVING it!
