School Pictures

A few weeks ago Taryn had pictures done at her nursery school. She was very scared to have them taken so she had to wait until Mommy picked her up to get them done. Siblings could also get their pictures taken, so Jake had to go first like the great brother he is and show her it was ok. They came out pretty good considering no one at the school thought she was going to have them taken at all!

The one of them together is a whole different story. But it makes us all laugh! :)

Jake Got His First Tooth... Well Teeth!

Sunday afternoon Jake was very, very fussy and upset... Daddy thought he saw some teeth trying to break through and he was right! Monday at the doctor's office we noticed that not one but both of his bottom teeth had cut! Mommy is making a sad face because she can't believe he is getting old enough to have 2 teeth! They are hard to see in the pictures... but Mommy did her best! (If you click on the first picture it makes it bigger and you can see them!)

It was hard to get a glimpse of the teeth... but Jake sure seems proud of them!

Run for the Wild 5K

Yesterday the whole family was up bright and early to go to the Bronx Zoo for the "Run for the Wild 5K" Mommy had been the one who was going to run it from the start, but at the last minute Daddy decided to run too... and pushed the double jogging stroller as he ran! They ran it with the Carver family (Melissa, Brian, and Jake's friend Barry :) The kids were very cute and Taryn had a great time yelling at Daddy, "Faster! Faster!" and roaring like a tiger at other runners to get out of the way!
The two families all sweaty after just finishing!

The boys hanging out by the fountain
And one of Daddy's favorite parts of the day... getting to see the Yankee's World Series Trophy! Jake was exhausted from the run and although was dressed most appropriately to see the trophy... fell asleep wearing Barry's hat and missed it.

But Taryn is never tired and decided to try out the carousel and do some arts and crafts.

It was a great day and we can't wait to run it again next year... Maybe Daddy won't eat a pop tart and drink a coke 15 minutes before running next year :)

Turtle Tots

Friday was Taryn's first "Turtle Tots" class at Club Fit. The first half hour they play in the gym and then they get ready and jump in the pool for a half hour swim lesson. Mommy was in the water with her so we don't have pictures from swimming... but she had a lot of fun in the gym on the giant blow up slide, playing with the parachute, and jumping in the hula hoops. She has a lot of friends in the class with her... Isabella of course and next to her holding the parachute is her friend Sara.

Happy Birthday Mama!

On Wednesday we celebrated Mama's birthday. Taryn and Jake had fun playing with her in the afternoon. It was Jake's first time riding in the little car... I was very surprised that Taryn let him ride on it at all since it is hers... but she was being very nice and decided to share with him. He LOVED it!

After delicious Napoli's pizza for dinner we sang happy birthday to Mama and had cake. Of course Taryn led the singing and blew out the candles with Mama.

Weeding

On Tuesday Taryn had fun helping Mommy weed the garden beds around the house. She loved wearing the new gloves she got from the Easter Bunny to match the ones Mommy has.

After weeding she ran up and down the side of the house like a crazy girl :) and checked out some of the flowering trees along the side of the house.

Sarah and Jay's Wedding

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy went to Newport, RI for Sarah and Jay's wedding. It was their first time leaving the kids overnight, but we were in good hands with Mama and Papa.
Everyone had a lot of fun at the wedding. Here is Mommy with some of her best friends from high school... apparently everyone decided to wear black! :)

Sarah was the last of the group to get married so this is the last wedding that the six of them (Sarah is obviously not in the picture here) will all be at for a while. Here are all the girls (Jody, Jen, Jenna, Mommy and Caroline)... and then all their husbands (Daddy, Matt, Justin, Jeff and Travis).
And all the moms (of Mommy's friends)... and all the dads. Like I said it was a fun wedding because even grandma and grandpa got to be with friends they hadn't seen in a while.

Father/ daughter and Mother/ son dancesThe happy couple!

A few good pictures of Mom and Dad

It was quite a party....
Just ask Justin :)

The next day Mommy and Daddy spent the morning walking around Newport with Grandma and Grandpa. This was the view from their hotel room when they woke up.

Then Grandma and Grandpa came back to NY with Mommy and Daddy to see us! Mama and Papa had made a nice dinner for us all to share to put an end to a great weekend for everyone!

Babies at Muscoot!

Thursday Taryn and Jake went to meet their friends at Muscoot Farm because they heard there were new lambs!

After a nice picnic lunch the kids got to see the lambs

And they were very excited to see that a goat had had a baby. The mom had to have a c-section and never bonded with the baby so the baby had to be bottle fed. It was fun to watch.

And a big hit with the kids were the pigs "swimming" in the mud puddles.
Jake and Katherine hung out in their strollers most of the time while the other kids ran all around the farm
