Memorial Day Weekend in Massachusetts

Jarrett was so excited to go to Grandma and Grandpa's on Friday night that that morning he woke up at 4 to play with his water table and get ready :) And I realized on the trip up that I should no longer ride on the floor if there is a seat just for me.
Saturday morning the family went to watch cousin Lucas play baseball. Jake and Taryn had fun playing with Steven and Joseph during the game. After the game Mommy and Daddy helped Uncle Brian with his new house and then Mommy went out with Sarah.
Jake had a great weekend playing with Uncle Dan, painting swimming with his "pipes: etc.

Jarrett even took a nap here and there.
Sunday before Jarrett's party they went to visit Great Grandma, and Jake got a new Fievel doll.

There was lots of swimming for the kids and I this weekend, but too cold for Mommy :)

Memorial Day Parade

Monday the family went to the Memorial Day Parade in Auburn. They met up with Sarah and the girls because Dan was working the parade. Then Sarah's brother Tim and his family came, and Sarah's mom and of course Uncle Dan, Mary and McKenzie and Grandma and Grandpa. The kids had fun with bubbles, playing Frisbee and  eating Dunkin Donuts while they waited for the parade to start.

Grandma got to stay for most of the parade but had to leave a little early to go get teh food ready at Happy's for the people in the parade.

You can't really tell from this picture but that is Dan in the police car. the kids loved waving to him the most!

Jarrett's Massachusetts Birthday Party

Sunday after visiting Great Grandma we had Jarrett's Massachusetts birthday party. It was lots of fun... although Jarrett spent the first half hour sleeping in his stroller.
Grandma got him an ice cream cake and Mommy made a regular #1 cake

It was obviously a good time, and you were quite the neat cake eater insisting on using a fork or spoon. That is until the ice cream cake started melting then you got messy.

But I still think Jake has you beat in the messy department... he LOVES his ice cream cake!

And all the kids had a great time in the pool and bouncy house.

 Happy birthday again Jarrett!
