Wild Weekend!

This was quite the weekend in Massachusetts! Mommy was very busy doing lots of fun things with Auntie Pam for her wedding.... all of which was a surprise to her.

There was the bachelorette party... where they took Auntie Pam in a Limo but she had no idea where she was going!

All the girls ended up at The Comedy Connection In Providence where they had lots of fun then to the Fish Co. afterwards to end the night!

And there was the shower. mommy, Grandma and Taryn gave her this nice Bride's Box that Mommy's friend hand made to hold all their cards at the wedding.

While Mommy was having fun there was some fun at Grandma's house too. McKenzie came to have a sleepover with Taryn... Here they are watching Monsters Inc.

And they did lots of swimming in the pool.

On Sunday the family went to Amy and Matt's Wedding reception at Indian Ranch. they had gotten Married on a cruise that Uncle Brian went on with them (he was in the wedding party). Taryn had fun throwing rocks in the lake and finding stuff with Dad. Jake hung out with Josh a little.

It was quite a busy weekend!

Scrunchie Face!

Jake has a funny face that he makes when he is frustrated and sometimes just when he is being silly. Mommy and Daddy love this cute face. Finally they have a picture of it thanks to Emily!

The funniest part is the "panting noise" he makes when does the face.

Jake Clapping

Jake recently learned how to clap and is very impressed with himself for being able to do it. Sometimes he even claps with one hand open and the other just one finger.
Here are a few failed attempts by Mommy trying to get him to clap for the camera.

Jake vs. The Snack Trap

Mommy decided it was time to introduce Jake to the "snack trap." Now most babies at Jake's age can put their little hands in, get a cheerio and get their hand back out without making a giant mess... but not the Jake Man!

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day we all got up very early, thanks to Jake, but let Dad sleep. While he was sleeping we made decorations and even wrapping paper to wrap his gifts in. Then we made him blueberry pancakes and bacon.

Here is a picture like 30 seconds after Daddy woke up. Taryn and Jake were both wearing their "Daddy shirts." Daddy was surprised to see that Mommy arranged his breakfast to look like a "daddy with bacon arms" like they had seem in the show The Middle, because Daddy thought that was funny.

Then Taryn insisted on singing "Happy Father's Day" because she didn't really get what Father's Day was so Mommy told her it was like a birthday but for being a dad instead of getting older. here is a video of our song for Daddy.

Christian's Birthday Party

Yesterday the family went to Christian's 4th birthday party in the afternoon. It was a lot of fun. The kids got to run around his nice big yard, play soccer, run through the sprinkler and Jake's favorite go in the little pool. Mommy wishes she had a picture of Christian blowing out his candles... but she was changing Jake's diaper during the song. :(

Time to Move the Crib Mattress Down

This morning Daddy went upstairs to get Jake and found him standing in his crib for the first time. And here are some pictures of Jake waking up from his morning nap... he is soooo proud of himself.

Jake is Officially Crawling

Jake started to take more than a few little crawls on Tuesday. He can now make it clear across the room and loves that he can get into trouble. Here is a video of Tuesday night. He is already much better at crawling now.

And now that he can crawl it means that he can bother me more...

So I bother him a little too :)

Obviously by the whistling and shaking of objects Daddy thinks he is a puppy not a baby.

Taryn's End of the Year Celebration

Today Mommy, Daddy and Jake went to watch Taryn's "Moving Up Ceremony" at her End of the Year Celebration. It was VERY cute the kids came in sang a few songs and got their little diplomas and walked over a bridge. Taryn did not think it was all that cute and was a little overwhelmed by there being so many adults there watching.

She eventually did not want to stand up there anymore so spent a little bit sitting with Mom and then eventually went back up to sing and "move up" with Mom's help.

Then she had some refreshments with her friend Lucas and her other friends. Mommy decided that it would be a good time to take a few pictures of Taryn's Hall of Art at our house for everyone to see. these are some of the art projects that came home from school with Taryn this year.

She really loved school this year because of the warm, loving , nurturing environment of First Hebrew Nursery School and especially the extra special care her teachers took of her. It was a great first year of school for Taryn.

Then she went to her last swim class of the session strait from her school. Here she is in the locker room after the lesson with Isabella.

Jake is 9 Months Old Today!

Jake is 9 months old today and he is doing GREAT! He cracks us up all the time with his silly little gestures and noises. He loves to make scrunchy faces, "ding dong"his head in his high chair and has recently started waving and making bridges out of a crawling position. He loves to hold onto anything and everything to stand and wants soooo badly to be able to run around with Taryn. At his 9 month check up Tuesday he weighed 19 pounds 10 ounces, was 28 inches tall and his head was 44 cm.
