My Gym

Jake goes to "My Gym" at least twice a week now. He loves going there and participating in all the different activities. They have songs, "workouts", gymnastics time, and all sorts of sensory and motor skill activities that Mommy loves making him do :)

He is getting so big, he stands with support and as you can see from the drool all over his shirt the pictures is getting in some teeth.

On Tuesdays Mommy takes him by himself, but Taryn gets to come on Thursdays with him. (Mommy decided it was OK since she is soooo sweet with Jake during the class, always "helping" him and holding his hand and the staff at My Gym missed her and kept requesting she come.)
Thursdays is a mixed age level class Tiny Tykes and Waddlers, so Jake is the youngest by far in this class, but he likes it anyway and it is fun for Taryn to get to run around with other kids. The other classes he goes to are all little babies like him. The staff is so great at accommodating both kids in any class they are in!

Mommy is glad she is able to take Jake here like she did with Taryn! She says it is fun to see how much more he can do every class!

One of their favorite parts is the "Goodbye Song" at the end. Mommy ran out of room on the memory card during the video but you get to see a little of it!

Daddy's Softball Game

Yesterday was Daddy's first softball game of the season. He plays on his work team and they won. Daddy did a great job at the game, he hit a grand slam and a double and got a triple off an error.
Both kids had fun watching the game even though it was cold, especially Taryn who got McDonalds for dinner!

Jake is 8 Months Old!

Today is Jake's 8 month birthday!
He is still as cute as can be and now weighs 19.1 pounds! Way to go buddy! He loves so many more things now. Some of his favorites include playing with Taryn, Daddy and Cooper, eating finger foods like egg yolks, avocado, cheerios and puffs, and going to all his classes to see his friends. He started going to My Gym a few weeks ago and loves it, just this week finished up his first swim lesson session and Baby Rhymes class at the library. He has been sitting up really well for about 2 months now, but shows no sign of wanting to crawl yet. He holds his own bottle and started drinking formula about 2 weeks ago. He sleeps through the night and goes to bed just as easily as his sister. Overall he is GREAT. He has been visiting Dr. Stein a lot though recently. He has been having a lot of trouble with his breathing and we hope to have it all figured out soon, but for now he has to take inhalers, antibiotics and get lots of love from everyone :)
Happy 8 months buddy!

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Taryn made these flowers and vase at school for Mommy and she loved it!
We were in Massachusetts so we got to spend some time with family. Everyone went to watch Uncle Dan play soccer in the morning. It was cold out because the wind was so strong.

Taryn liked watching him and kept yelling his name.

Later that day Auntie Pam and Kim brought Addy over to play with Jake. Addy is 2 months older than Jake and they had fun playing together. They both love Jules and I... and obviously chewing on toys!

Later that night the whole family came over to celebrate Daddy's birthday AGAIN!!!
It was a fun weekend in Massachusetts!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Wednesday was Daddy's actual birthday, so of course we celebrated again. Taryn and Mommy made him a banner and Mama and Taryn made some delicious food for Cinco de Mayo. For dessert we had Daddy's favorite... ICE CREAM CAKE!!
Taryn was so excited to sing happy birthday to Daddy that we did it twice and both times she got to blow out the candles.

First Little Pool Day!

Sunday was the first day of the season that Mommy and Daddy put the little pool on the deck for us! We had so much fun.

Daddy's 30th Birthday Party!

On Saturday we had Daddy's 30th birthday party! It was tons of fun. We had over 80 friends and family come over to celebrate and the weather was great!

Although it was a party for Daddy I think the kids may have had more fun than the adults!
Jake playing with his friends Lilah and Layla on the blanket.

And Taryn had a great time in the bouncy castle with her friends!

Finally a picture of the birthday boy!

Taryn telling Hannah, "THERE IS A PINATA!!! Hurry let's go!"

Taryn liked the idea of the pinata but was unsure if she wanted to hit it, but eventually decided to try it out with Emily's help. The other kids had a great time taking turns hitting it!

And then even more fun collecting all the candy!
The boys, Daddy, Jake and Uncle TJThen Mommy brought out the cake and the brownies shaped like 30s that she made. Taryn was very cute singing Happy Birthday to Daddy and helping him blow out the candles!

Jake decided to chill with Mama and papa for a bit :)
And a family photo... without me, but I didn't want to miss out on any food dropping to get in this one.Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

School Pictures

A few weeks ago Taryn had pictures done at her nursery school. She was very scared to have them taken so she had to wait until Mommy picked her up to get them done. Siblings could also get their pictures taken, so Jake had to go first like the great brother he is and show her it was ok. They came out pretty good considering no one at the school thought she was going to have them taken at all!

The one of them together is a whole different story. But it makes us all laugh! :)

Taryn and I

It is like we are best friends... yet she is always on top of me.
