"Annie's Lake"

On Wednesday the family went over to the Lamoreaux's house to visit. They live on a lake and Taryn was very excited to swim in "Annie's Lake." It was AMAZING how well Taryn and Annie played the whole time... it was almost like they weren't even there! Jake, Lea and Aleck had fun too, but were a little too young to play on their own :)

Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's

Both kids love swimming in grandma and Grandpa's pool. It was by far their favorite part of being there.

Taryn used "swimmies" on her arms and has gotten really good at swimming even with them off now.

Here is a video of her at the beginning of the two weeks just getting used to swimming on her own... and Jake in the background mad about something!

Playdate with Mommy's Friends

Last Tuesday while we were in Massachusetts mommy took Taryn to Purgatory Chasm for a playdate with some of her high school friends and their kids... who we like to refer to as Taryn's Massachusetts friends :) Aiden,, Amelia, Addie, Brian and Isabelle! All the kids had a great time on the playground there and loved their picnic lunch. Mommy and Taryn finally got to meet Jenna's daughter Isabelle after 7 months!!!

I think that Addie was sad that Jake stayed home.

Taryn, Aiden and Amelia had a lot of fun playing after lunch and didn't want to leave.

And of course Mommy had to get in the "kid"picture because Taryn "didn't want her picture taken"

Jake is 11 Months Old

Today Jake is 11 months old! He is a very happy boy still! He now has 6 teeth, 4 on the top and two on the bottom. He crawls very quickly, but recently has been wanting to walk around holding onto fingers, tables, chairs, toys and anything else he can find. We are still yet to find a food he doesn't like and lately, since we have been on vacation, has been getting spoiled with things he shouldn't have. He and Taryn love to play together and still have some fights like a rother and sister have :) He likes to interact with people....especially the ladies he is a BIG flirt. Overall he is a lot of fun and has a great personality.

Mommy's Softball Championship

Yesterday Mommy, Daddy and Jake came home from vacation to get me and so that Mommy could play in her championship softball game. She has been playing this season on a modified fastpitch softball team called "Chappaqua Chili's" Barry's mom, Melissa (talking to Mommy in the picture) is on the team too!
Jake likes to pretend to come to watch Mommy play, but he just likes flirting with the ladies!
They didn't win the Championship game, but they had won the league so they got a trophy! Some of the memebers of the team, a lot of players were away or hurt for this game :(

Old Orchard Beach Maine

On Saturday the family headed up to Old Orchard Beach Maine with Grandma and Grandpa. Taryn was VERY excited to go to the beach.

Once they got there they met up with Uncle Dan, Mary, McKensie, Uncle Tom, Aunt Bonnie, EJ, Zack, Audrey and Mike on the beach.

Taryn loved the beach right away, but Jake HATED it he spent most of teh vacation trying to avoid touching sand in any way!

Taryn liked digging holes and making castle, flying kites with Daddy and anything else that meant she got to stay on the beach or go in the pool.

Jake eventually gave in and sat on the blanket.

And Mary actually had to work while we were up there and everyone else was having fun!

Nights in OOB

After spending the days on the beach they would go out to dinner, one night they went to Uncle Tom's campground for a nice steak dinner. Daddy was especially excited the first night to get twin lobsters... and Grandpa wouldn't stop using the joke... "How do they know they are twins?"

Then they would go downtown which was a couple minute walk from the hotel. Jake "rode" into town each night thinking he was the bomb! "Hey ladies check out my ride!"

And Mommy tried to be cool one night too... Taryn actually pushed her a little.This is the picture of Jake telling us... "Hey guys my ear hurts I think I have an ear infection."... he was right!They played lots of games in the arcade and the other carnival areas.

On the last night Taryn picked the "million dollar case" in the Deal or No Deal machine and one a thousand tickets... which Mommy had to sit there and collect for her.And there was ice cream

And rides... as you can see Taryn didn't care for the rides at first then we found out it was because she didn't want to be buckled in by the people operating the rides so she was limited to the "bear ride" and the carousel. And she went on the bear ride many many times!
