Happy 2nd Birthday Jake-Man!

Friday night we celebrated Jake's birthday a few hours early just our family since we were having Jake's party on his actual birthday. He got to open his Bat Cave and Submarine and seemed to really like it! When Mommy and Daddy would ask you how old you were you would say 3 and when they said, "No buddy your 2" you would get mad and argue without giving up that you were 3... so happy 2nd or 3rd birthday!

Jakey, Jakey, Jakey!!! What can be said about the craziest, sweetest, most amazing little boy in the world. You keep us all on our toes with your constant energy and melt our hearts with your smiles, laughs and your overall ability to love! You love to play with your sister and brother. Your sense of pretend play has developed so much over the past few months with Taryn's help. You love sports of any kind, you will play in the sandbox for hours, you love to go to the playground, pool, play with friends, hug kiss and hold Jarrett and snuggle with mommy and daddy! You are obsessed with Uncle Danny and Uncle Brian (if Danny is not around).

Your language skills are in transition and you are doing great with it. You are now talking in full sentences... which makes it hard for people to understand you sometimes. It makes Mommy and Daddy laugh when you don't get your way and you yell. They have to tell you not too but it is very funny to hear you yell "come here now!" and demand things. You also love music still and have recently stopped eating the crayons and markers and shown a great interest in coloring and drawing things. Your 2 year check up is later in the month... Can't wait to see how much you've grown physically!

School Orientation

Thursday morning Mommy took the kids to Jake's classroom for his orientation. He liked playing in the room even though it was not really set up (they had to put a fire door in the room and we doing that Friday afternoon, which is why Jake's start date for school was pushed back to Wednesday.) The only problem was every time Mommy tried to leave for a few minutes to check on something in the office or talk to another teacher Jake would sprint out of the classroom looking for her.

Today they went back to the school for Taryn's orientation. Since this is her 3rd year there she is a pro and is excited to be back with her friends. Jarrett on both days got passed from teacher to teacher to teacher all giving him kisses and hugs. Of the 3-4 hours they were there the two days Mommy probably held him for a few minutes. Hes pretty famous there.

Labor Day Weekend

Saturday Mommy Taryn and Jarrett went to Brian Guertin's 3rd birthday party in the afternoon. Taryn had fun with the pinata and Jarrett had fun socializing with Greta and Isabelle.

Then Mommy picked up Daddy and Jake and they all went to the Lamoreaux's house for Annie's 4th birthday party. The kids had fun swimming in the lake, playing with all the kids and riding on the boat.

Sunday we had Jake's birthday party but don't worry over the weekend there was plenty of time to hang out at grandma and Grandpa's house, resting, picking apples from their apple tree, and trying out the new barnyard bounce at West End Creamery.

Jake's 2nd Birthday Party- Massachusetts

Sunday we had Jake's Massachusetts birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's house. There were a lot of friends, family, and plenty of new babies there! Everyone had lots of fun swimming in the pool, hitting the pinata, eating cake and opening gifts, and making smores.

Jarrett was very excited to meet Nico, Mommy's friend Bridget's son. Nico is only 4 days younger than Jarrett. And he also had a nice nap with Uncle Steve.

Jake was such a big boy and very very cute singing Happy Birthday to himself and blowing out his candles.

He had a lot of help from Taryn in opening his gifts!

And the roasting of marshmallows is always fun with a dozen preschool age kids :)

The party went late into the night with some relaxing and lots of card playing. Jarrett even got in on it.

Last Day at the Pool

Friday was the last day we were around for the pool. Daddy got out of work early at 2 that day so they went over with the Antonuccios so Ben could try it out for the first time. They also got to meet Isabella and Anna there. See you next year pool!
