Mia's 4th Birthday

 Friday afternoon Jake went to his friend from karate, Mia's birthday party at Jumpin' Jeepers. He had so much fun. Especially playing with his best friend from karate, Griffin. 

First Week of Summer Vacation

Happy Father's Day!!!

 Sunday was Father's Day. Besides Jarrett waking up around 2AM and forcing Daddy to sleep in the spare room with him, we let him sleep late. the kids were very excited to get all his presents ready for him and wake him up.

 From school Jake made Daddy a picture holder out of clay and nuts with a card that said, "I'm nuts about you."

 Taryn made him a coffee cup sleeve with her picture on it. They also got him a new bathing suit, shorts, shirt and Snoopy and Charlie Brown finger puppets.

 In the afternoon they all went to Mama and Papa's house to celebrate there with steak and crab legs. The kids (mainly Taryn) helped Mama make Peanuts themed cookies...some were better than others :-)

 Since we live so close now Daddy and the kids walked home, with a quick stop to get me and go to the playground on our street to finish off a great Father's Day

Taryn's Dance Recital!!!!

 Saturday afternoon was Taryn's first dance recital! She started dance because we had won a drawing at the Yorktown street fair for a free year's tuition. Taryn claimed she didn't want to do dance, but after watching a class for 5 seconds she decided it would be fun... but Mommy had to agree that she didn't have to do the recital. 8 months later here is a girl very excited for her recital! Mommy was pretty excited too. they spent all morning on her hair and make-up and obviously she took a lot of pictures.

Some posing and family pictures before Ingrid, Bridget's mom, picked her up to go. Mommy, Daddy, Jake, Mama, Papa, Uncle Jim and Uncle TJ all went to Yorktown stage to watch her perform.

 

 

 Some on stage and backstage picture... Mommy and Daddy were not allowed to take pictures during the show. But they managed to sneak one at the very end. Taryn did AMAZING. She was up there with the best smile the whole time for both ballet and tap. Everyone was so proud of her! I know Mommy and Daddy cried they were so proud.

 Jake was very cute and watched the whole show very intrigued. He was also very excited to give Taryn her flowers.  Then it was time for some more family pictures.

 Taryn was soooo excited and proud to get her very first trophy.... as you can see someone else was eying it too.

 Mommy and Daddy decided not to take Jarrett since the recital was during his nap time. He probably would have loved it but he stayed with Sarah our babysitter and slept the WHOLE time! This is the picture she sent Mommy
