Happy 9th Birthday Taryn!
It is amazing how much you have grown over the past year! You have
gotten so much more confident, beautiful, and strong. Peyton is still
your best friend. You love playing school and being in charge of
activities. You love board and card games. You are kind-hearted and
loving. You can be very helpful around the house and good with the boys.
You play more with Jarrett than Jake, but have been enjoying playing
sports with Jake a little more over the course of this year. You are turning into quite the little lady, not as much a little girl. Next year it's double digits!
Here's how your special day went this year...
Saturday night Mommy and Daddy decorated the house and Taryn's room for her to wake up a 9-year-old!!!
She was very excited about her birthday donuts, presents and decorations. But she didn't have too much time to enjoy them, because they had to go to Jake's baseball practice, then to the Palisades Mall for Jake to attend Keaton's birthday party and then to Dave and Busters for Taryn's birthday!
They spent over 4 hours there eating and playing games. It was a great time.
They finished off the day with cupcakes and some singing! Hope it as a great day!

Turkish Taffy
For christmas the kids got Uncle Jim Turkish Taffy that they found in Rhinebeck. Uncle Jim is always singing them a Turkish Taffy commercial from when he was a boy, so the kids were excited to try it with him. He came over to watch them so that Mommy and Daddy could go out to dinner... here is the taffy breaking.
Babysitting Egidio
Mommy babysits Egidio sometimes... but this time she had lots of pictures so it gets a whole post! Aunt Angela and Uncle Adam were going to brunch so Egidio came over from 12:30- about 5. He had fun playing with Jarrett. Jake was at Nick's house playing with his friends and Taryn was shopping with Mama.

Taryn's Tall Small Ball
Friday night was Taryn's Tall Small Ball at school. She had been upset because Daddy was supposed to be in LA that day, so Mommy was going to go with her... but his trip got cancelled last minute and he was able to go!!!! Daddy even picked her up roses on the way home from work. They had a great time, although there wasn't as much father-daughter dancing as there was daughters running around and dancing on their own and fathers talking. Haha! It was a candy theme and Taryn made a candy corsage and other fun candy themed things.
Mommy and Jake also had a date night at hibachi. They ended up sitting next to an older couple who had grandkids that played sports with Jake. He charmed his way into sharing their sushi appetizer (That Mommy insisted on paying for). Jarrett didn't want to go out so he stayed in with Uncle Jim.
