Babysitting Verona and Family Night

 Wednesday morning after her run and walking the dog Mommy babysat Verona. And then she got to see her again at family night that night. Jake fell playing basketball and bumped his head and cut his elbow. 

Jarrett's Looses His First Tooth

 Tuesday night (yes the same day that Jarrett couldn't even walk) Jarrett lost his first tooth. Jake actually pulled it out for him. Mommy made them pose to recreate it for her since she was downstairs and they were supposed to be sleeping not ripping each others teeth out. :-) Jarrett was so excited to have finally lost a tooth! 

Jake's Purple Belt

Jake had too many other ports on Saturday so he had to test for his purple belt on Tuesday. We were very proud because this belt he had to work hard and practice at home since he didn't even get to go to karate once in August.  

Jarrett's Transient Synovitis

Monday night Jake had a baseball game (they won) Jarrett was completely fine playing with the other kids. Before bed he told Mommy his hip was hurting. He woke up in the middle of the night several times in a lot of pain. Mommy was on the phone with Daddy in the middle of the night trying to figure out what to do. She took him to the doctor in the morning, but by then he couldn't even put a little weight on his leg or move it at all. Mommy carried him into the doctors and even that hurt. Turns out he had transient synovitis of the hip. With transient synovitis the pain comes on suddenly and quickly, but only lasts 24-48 hours. It occurs after (most commonly boys ages 4-10) having a virus. By dinner Jarrett could put some weight on his leg again and the next day he only had a slight limp. 

Weekend Pictures

 Daddy made it back from LA for the weekend! He saw the grave site that Jarrett had made for his hermit crab Superman. 

 Saturday morning Jake had soccer. He scored 3 goals. 

 Then they had football. 

 Jake spent the rest of the day with Kevin and Nick at Kevin's house. 

 Sunday Mommy ran a half marathon in Putnam in the morning and then they watched Jake play baseball (double header) in LaGrange all afternoon. It was a VER HOT day for a game. 

 The team celebrated Gabe's birthday after the games. 

Barton Orchards

 Thursday and Friday the kids had off for the Jewish holiday. Friday Mommy and Lauren took the kids to Barton Orchards to go apple picking. Before they got to the apple picking they fed the goats, played on the playground, went in the corn maze, got lost in the corn maze, ate cider donuts, then finally picked apples and took the hay ride back to the car. It was a fun day!
