Jake comes home!

Saturday morning Daddy went back to the hospital to bring home Mommy and Jake. To his surprise they were ready to go pretty early! They couldn't wait to get home to see me and Taryn!

All ready to go...

They got home at about 10:30 and we all took turns getting Jake used to the house and giving him warm welcomes!

Especially me!

As you can see he is a peanut... he weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces at discharge... so none of his 0-3 month clothes fit. Luckily Uncle Jim and Aunt Angela took good care of that and went to Babies-R-Us to get some clothes that fit him!

Then we spent the rest of the day hanging out and being happy to have the WHOLE family home.

Later that night Mommy and Taryn baked some cookies... while Jake and I slept! There was a video of it... but Mommy said it was not able to be posted due to the inappropriate shirt she was wearing... sorry :)

Day 2 ****Updated****

Friday was Day 2 of Mommy being at the hospital. This was a little tough for Mommy because Taryn had her nursery school orientation. But Daddy stepped it up and did a great job taking Taryn.

Daddy made her wear her backpack... because as he said, "How else was she going to get her homework to school?"
They walked in together.

And Taryn got o play while Daddy went through Mommy's list of questions :)

Once Daddy and Taryn got to the hospital for lunch Jake was ready to get a good look at everyone.. especially Daddy. Uncle TJ joined them for dinner at night (Boston Market yum yum)

And before they left the hospital (at like 9:30... Taryn was great the whole time) Taryn took some time to get to know Jake a little better especially his skinny feet :)Mommy was sad to see them go home... but happy to be going home the next morning!

Jake "the snake" is back!!!

Hey All you wrestling fans!!!

Early Thursday morning at about 4:59am Ally (my mommy) gave birth to the newest member of the Bruno family.

Name - Jake "the snake" Anthony Bruno
Weight - 7lbs 1oz
Length - 19 inches (this time i payed attention, with Taryn i had no idea this was important).
Occupation - Baby wrestler (not to be confused with adults who wrestle babies, This is an actual baby who wrestles babies).

According to my dog sources (from the pet therapy department), Ally did extremely well, beating her all time baby pushin' record comin' in under 9 minutes. What a pro!

Jake's first scheduled wrestling match was with his happy big sister Taryn "Taryn-o-saurus Rex" Bruno. At first Taryn was a little skeptical.

But after Jake gave her a Care Bear it went really well.

In fact they've combined forces become the unstoppable tag-team duo known as The Bruisin' Bruno's. Of course i'll be their ring-side managaer.

I bet Jake can't wait to meet all of you!!!

HOMEWORK!!!!!!!

In the mail the other day we got Taryn's first homework assignment for nursery school.
She had to decorate a cut out of a person that represented her feelings about friendship. She did a great job!She was actually very excited to decorate it.

Daddy held it in place because she was having some trouble coloring because it was moving all over.

And a little coloring on the place mat for fun :)

Then she added some stickers (actually given to her by her friend Eric) to finish it off. The stickers were perfect because they were of her favorite TV/ Movie friends... Boo and Mike from Monsters, Inc. and the Sesame Street crew. Plus a few smiley faces because her friends make her happy :)

Way to go Taryn! Great job on your first assignment!

Labor Day Weekend... No Labor!

Taryn and Mommy started off Labor Day weekend with a quick trip to Muscoot Farm. They hadn't been there in a while. Taryn's favorite part were the cows. She kept trying to feed them hay.

Then they came home because Daddy was coming home from work EARLY!!!!

Saturday they had a busy day. They started out at the Mt. Pleasant Pool for a birthday celebration for our friend James. Here is Taryn being tortured by Mommy... she made Taryn follow the rules Mommy uses at their pool... you have to sit on the towel to eat a snack... no snacks by the water :) Sorry Taryn she is strict!

They had PB&J sandwiches for lunch and then some cake.

Taryn liked spending lots of time with Daddy this weekend.At the end of the party they tried getting a group picture of all the kids... it didn't go so well :)

Happy Birthday James!

The rest of the weekend Mommy apparently did not remember to photo document but I can tell you they spent Saturday afternoon at Grandma and Papa's for a party. Sunday they did a lot of shopping in the morning and then went to cousin Grace and Owen's birthday party. Taryn had a great time doing crafts and jumping in the bouncy house!

BUT NO LABOR! :)

Lady Bug Friend

Taryn loves anything that is alive... animals, bugs... anything Mommy would scream at. She actually searches the yard for bees... so she was very excited to find a lady bug in the house yesterday!

So as you already know Taryn's new favorite movie is Monsters, INC and in it Boo catches Cheerios in her mouth that Sully is throwing so she wanted Mommy and Daddy to throw them at her the other day... here are the videos of it! What a goofy kid!

New Baby Update

Here he or she is at 37 weeks 3 days!
Mommy told us to keep in mind that the pictures get harder to see as the baby gets bigger in her belly.

The doctors estimated at the ultrasound today that he/ she weighs about 6 pounds 5 ounces (which for anyone trying to keep track is about the 37th percentile:) ! So overall the baby's growth is good and now the next picture of this little one should be when he/ she arrives!

Oh and Mommy wanted to add that she is hoping it is sooner than later because Taryn was only 6 pounds 9 ounces and Mommy liked that! :)

Too Cool

Taryn started off her morning with some juice and watching her new FAVORITE movie for the millionth time... Monsters, INC.

A wardrobe change was necessary in order to eat her Cheerios though.
She thought that if I wanted some Cheerios I needed to wear the shades too!What a goofy kid!
